Recently watched a video that mentioned that the first Boeing 777 delivered (reg: N777UA) is still flying.

I looked it up and it is flying to VCV Saturday.

I’m no aviation expert, but isn’t this where they park planes for storage, and even possible retirement? Or am reading too much into this?

What if we didn’t send kids to school at 7am…
🚨 @repdarrensoto.bsky.social (D-FL) re-sponsors permanent DST “Sunshine Protection”. Would put Orlando sunrise past 8am nearly 3 months, to 8:20am! Cost FL kids’ lives in 1974! 👉 Amend to permanent Standard Time to protect morning light and safety!

Any surprise these fucking weaklings are leaving Chicago for warmer climes as soon as the temperature starts dropping?

Off to terrorize a different city of their convenience. Fucking scum.
This New Orleans operation is going to closely resemble what we just went through in Chicago.

Riding the TexRail Stadler FLiRTs in Ft. Worth makes me very excited for them to come to Metra. They’re so quiet!

Hear me out. Meigs Field should have been replaced with a bigger airport two miles out in the lake.

We should plan on a full modernization of the Blue Line - including automation and platform screen doors - so we can reallocate those operators out of Rosemont and Forest Park and run more service on the rest of the system

Why automated metros are the future
High-tech transit can be cost-effective transit. Just look at Canada.

This rebuild absolutely must include platform screen doors.
👀 CTA has requested letters of interest and qualification for the Forest Park rebuild from IMD to Forest Park. Funding has not been identified but this contract is a five-year base with up to another 14 years of allowable extensions.

Free research idea for some grad student or non-profit out there: has anyone done a modern analysis of the Orange Line's impact on the Southwest Side, 30 years later? Probably goes without saying that it's been a huge improvement for Southwest Siders, but can induced new development be quantified?

Good morning from Clinton/Pink where I’m here to catch a train to 54/Cermak on a CTA all stations attempt! The run actually starts at Polk/Pink so stay tuned for an official start time. The record as always is 8:48. I don’t see a chance of beating that today, but we’ll see what’s possible.
