Take me down to the paraphrase city where it’s nice
Attended a concert last night and while it was good, just joining the chorus of people who are astounded/irritated by people who go to these and yap through the entire show, couple beside me were loudly talking about home renovations, feel like that could have been a car ride home conversation

Anyone has never seen the single season of the newfoundland black comedy series 'Hatching, Matching, and Dispatching' about a family that runs a combination wedding parlour, midwifery, and funeral home, is doing themselves a grave disservice.
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

Something to Consume by Die Spitz is quickly becoming one of my favourite albums from this year. Very heavy, but tuneful, reminds me of bands like L7 and Babes in Toyland with elements of Kyuss, if that’s your wheelhouse check it out, won’t be disappointed youtu.be/a7OYiuUJuBY?...

Strange timing, I saw my doctor recently, few days ago, and I mentioned AI and asked if it was being used in healthcare, they rolled their eyes and said “don’t even get me started” which was reassuring but also frightening.

Watched One Battle After Another, pretty good, meanders a bit, but entertaining, Leo Dicaprio is a pretty great slapstick comic actor, he has some of the funniest lines, and Sean Penn does well playing one of the most repugnant characters I’ve seen in a long time, worth checking out! boxd.it/DUHM

If you want there to be a certain kind of art in ten years, you gotta pay for that art now. You gotta make sure small time artists can survive the next ten years. If you can't afford to, then tell people about the art and artists you love. Gush about them. Help others find them.

Saw Hangashore at Fog Fest and loved it. Given the fest is more geared towards horror, and knowing little about the film I was expecting something different, but what I saw I liked even more. Looked incredible, and during a post film Q&A the director said all shots were practical, which warms my ❤️

Grabbed this recipe off the front page of Google because I had Roma tomatoes I wanted to use up and I love red lentils, this came out really nice and is pretty simple to make, only thing I left out was salt because I’m supposed to do that according to “modern medicine” but came out with rich flavour

One of the (many) badass things about Meg White is how she stepped away from the spotlight when she felt it was time, and has been out of the public eye ever since. She’s a bit of an enigma, but in the age of overexposure that’s not a bad thing. The White Stripes wouldn’t have worked without her.
With the White Stripes’ induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week, can we finally put the arguments about Meg White’s drumming to rest?

She belongs there, and it’s way past time.

I watched the live stream of this when it aired and it was pretty incredible, band sounded great as per usual, and the mix was impeccable. Highly doubt this will hit theatres here as these screenings rarely do, but will definitely be picking up the blu ray 🖤
