So, is literally anyone in the Albanese government going to say anything at all about what’s going on in the US?

Trump has just announced he wants to ethnically cleanse Gaza, Musk has the codes to the US Treasury, they’ve deleted US AID … meanwhile Albo, Marles and Penny are still mumbling ‘AUKUS’

This appalling rhetoric that the Greens, a very middle-of-the-road progressive party, are extremists equivalent to white supremacists is grossly insulting, of course, but it’s actually far worse.

What it’s doing is deliberately normalising right wing extremism.

It has to be stopped.
QUESTION: Are you concerned about the rise of white supremacists in Australia?

PETER DUTTON: Yes, absolutely. It's a disgrace, an abomination, and anybody who's spewing hatred, whether it's the Greens or the white supremacists, or the neo-Nazis, they have no place in our society at all.

A very smart colleague just pointed out the grim truth that the U.S. leaving the WHO may ultimately be a win for the rest of the world. Why? Because without a vote, “the US can't block WHO actions like vaccine programs, disease surveillance, contraception, etc”. Man, that is daaaark, but accurate.

Yes!!! Say more of this!!! It’s the most astonishingly, openly corrupt administration in US history, literally from the first day, and it’ll only get worse. They aren’t even trying to hide it. It’s a degree of corruption that could destabilize the whole country, the whole world.
The story of this first week is corruption. Billionaires seated on the inaugural stage in front of the cabinet, crypto pump and dump, and the illegal firing of IGs. The media is acting like this is too chaotic and bewildering to interpret, but they are just afraid of sounding shrill. It’s corrupt.
