Trump trashing NATO troops? My grandfather a WW2 veteran often said noncommissioned American soldiers were ok in battle but one of the greatest dangers on a battlefield was the risk of being trampled to death by an American commissioned officer running away from danger.
You Americans seemed quite happy with your political system until Trump came along. And Americans spent decades telling yourselves how great you are. In Australia, we listened to our parents, especially our fathers who fought in WW2, and heard that Yanks are full of arrogance, piss, wind and fear.

The reason Australia as a country is detached from the lobbyist’s efforts to dramatize antisemitism following the Bondi murders, and also our detachment from an appalling ongoing genocide in Gaza is that Rupert Murdoch and our political parties rote taught us to think only of our own self interest.

It’s extraordinary how quickly the media can mobilise & demand government to act on certain issues.

Imagine if they had that same urgency for First Nations deaths in custody or women killed by men.

“Attacks such as these are designed to shut up debate; to drive one side to a rancour, & serve to make government more radical, while encouraging acts of radicalism from one’s own side so that the cauldron boils over, stoked from every side.”

Killing people is wrong, regardless of their religion. Killing kids is especially abhorrent. Calling out a genocide is standing up for what's right, and equating those protests to supporting the killing of others is false equivalence, an opportunistic attack by those who are morally compromised.

Correct. Although the reality show has been decades coming and is written and produced by the political system America has long claimed is the best in the world. What a claim.

Coles, if it could, would pay its employees just enough for them to sleep in their cars outside their supermarkets between shifts. Coles, as a business, is a malfeasance.
Just a reminder to our SEQ shoppers who are stocking up in anticipation of Alfred, please be polite to our employees! They are doing everything they can to do help our customers! Stay safe! 🍎
