Organisers of the Flowers for Beth and Dear Rose campaigns.

We encourage gentle and respectful community support and solidarity for trans people who are pushed into the public eye via litigation.

Solidarity, always.

When you get the cards, we encourage you to use this as a moment to decompress. Use whatever colours you want, colour (or write) outside the lines and, if you can, take the opportunity to spend time with other people who care about Beth - and you.

In @yougov.co.uk polling of the trans community, to the best of our knowledge the first of its kind ever conducted, an astonishing 84% said Britain is “fairly unsafe” or “very unsafe” for trans people.

The expert witness presenting information for the Darlington Nurses employment tribunal is criminologist Dr Jo Phoenix.

As of yesterday, the last of the nurses have now testified. We have listened carefully while keeping in mind what was said in the media before this case started.

So did the lawyer acting for the trust. Let's take a look:

At the Darlington nurses tribunal tomorrow, Karen Danson will be the first witness.

Karen has PTSD from childhood sexual abuse, details of which may well be deemed relevant enough to discussed extensively in court.

Please inform your loved ones who may need to limit their news intake. 🕊️

We have published a small open letter to Rose alongside our statement today.

We trust that she is doing what is best for her wellbeing & request that others do the same. We will continue to follow her case closely & work with the local LGBTQ+ community.

A huge thank you to The Potter Trail who recently raised over £1000 for Equality Network and Scottish Trans' vital campaigning work. We're so grateful for their ongoing support and care. 🏳️‍⚧️

🎉 40,000 women have signed - and we’re not stopping here.

We’re united in rejecting discrimination against the trans and non-binary community. We refuse to let our voices be used to divide. This is our moment — and we’re heading for 50,000...and beyond! 🚀💥

📢 Here’s how you can help us get there...

Our understanding of this statement is that Sandie Peggie wants Beth to be legally forced to make a statement that she was complicit in harming Sandie for whistleblowing and personally pay her money for hurt feelings.

This is not over for Beth - therefore, it is not over for us.

We’re at Manchester Trans Pride today. Ready for the march and out, proud on the streets. We’ve got a stall in Manchester Art Gallery from 2pm so do come and say hi.
August 2, 2025 at 9:55 AM
Wait, there's more! Here are the demands Sandie Peggie has made.

She wants Beth to personally pay her and make a "protected disclosure detriment" declaration alongside NHS Fife.

A 'Protected disclosure' is otherwise known as whistleblowing.

We need to talk about what happens next for Beth.

The tribunal will reconvene on September 1st & 2nd for verbal arguments from the lawyers. While the judge could deliver a verdict on the spot, he is more likely to take several months to respond in writing.
August 2, 2025 at 9:37 AM
Thank you to the approximately 1300 people who have talked to us and received cards over the last few months. We know you are still waiting for a PO box address and ask that you hang on a little longer.

Due to some safety issues, it is taking longer than expected but we are still going! 🌸

So, the Not In Our Name petition aimed at the UK only has obtained MORE signatures in LESS THAN 10 WEEKS than the anti-trans targeted globally one achieved in SIX YEARS!

This has a number of implications;

1. Transphobia is much less popular than trans rights.

2. Anti-trans activists claim…

🚨 Important 🚨

The EHRC *did not* say that the guidance is being sent in December. They said that they would send it to the Minister by the end of August. I have checked both my own notes, my colleague's transcript, and Tribunal Tweets.

I'm not sure of the source of the December claim.

💥The fight goes on 💥

We are pleased to say that our case against the EHRC’s transphobic guidance will be heard in full in November.

This is just the beginning, and we’re ready to fight it, together.

The divide between what columnists have to say & how regular members of the public react to this case is ridiculous.

We don't have to "sell" Flowers for Beth to people - they hear about Dr Beth Upton, intuitively understand & want her to live a peaceful, secure life.

Catch up or get left behind. 🌸

We are currently a very small team so sometimes the logistics (like the PO box!) can be more difficult than expected.

Meeting members of the public more than makes up for it. The person who designed this may well never meet Beth - but they cared. And we get the honour of passing that on. 🌸

People in London were lovely to chat to - lots of people already knew about Beth and were raring to get involved!

Some volunteers at Flowers for Beth got a sneaky preview this weekend when some lovely people Trans Pride London bust out the sharpies on the spot!

Here is some of the detail 🌸

Gentle reminder: Sex Matters 'backs' Sandie Peggie but they did not pay her legal fees.

Those were covered by an anonymous donor.

A palette cleanser for you - we brought a few filled in cards to Trans Pride London to help introduce people to the campaign & met a group of lovely people who filled theirs in on the spot.

Finding people who care about Beth is NEVER a struggle. We'll post some close ups throughout the afternoon. 🌸
