It's quite a sign of the times that Ford is pivoting away from EVs and will focus its battery tech on AI data centers instead.

There's a growing list from memory manufacturers to construction companies all pivoting from their primary focus areas to feed at the AI datacenter trough.
Ford is starting a battery storage business to power data centers and the grid  | TechCrunch
Ford will invest about $2 billion into the new business over the next two years.

They've done it again, they've cut more rail projects. The most criminal one for me is cancelling the reopening of the Waterford-Wexford/Rosslare line. On the left is the All-island Rail Review published by the last government and on the right is the plan published today.

I've been off social media a lot, for me, this afternoon, but catching up and what the actual fuck is wrong with some people. You can absolutely condemn the Israeli government for its genocide in Gaza. If you use that in any way shape or form to minimise the attack in Sydney you need serious help.

It's not just me that says that our social web should be connected by RSS.

Cory Doctorow said it.

Molly White said it.

And last week Ben Werdmuller said it.

If they all did it, we'd have all the freedom we could ever want.

So what's holding it up?

So let's make a resolution for 2026, that we the people, will demand that the social networking software we use get in tune with the web, and support two-way RSS.

I will help any and all to get this going.

I'm just like you, if you don't want your online world to be owned by billionaires.

When you drift through some unheralded point in your 40s, you start accumulating actuarial risks.

The odds of illness, heart attack, or the chances losing of a parent go up.

But there is another risk- particularly acute for men.

There is a risk you will lose your capacity for joy.

And loads of union flags and massive crosses... because that's traditional at the events where we celebrate Christ's BIRTH, isn't it. Crosses and flags.

Nigel Farage's actual, real, proven antisemitism appears in a couple of newspapers, one or two news programmes, for a day or 2, then vanishes
