How can we avoid banks that hold stablecoin deposits? Is that information public?
Having sent a crappy bill to the Senate the Senate - per tradition - made our bill worse by adding a provision that says that in the event of a run on a bank holding stablecoin deposits, those deposits have a senior claim, above those of law abiding citizens in insured accounts.

When prices rise because *demand* is hot, wages usually follow. When prices rise because tariffs raise costs -- a *supply* shock -- there’s no reason paychecks catch up. That’s why tariff inflation hurts a whole heckuva lot more. It's a permanent reduction in living standards.

Using lobbying, the revolving door and “dark pattern” customer tricks, Intuit fended off the government’s attempts to make tax filing free and easy, and created its multi-billion-dollar franchise.

When I was coming up, my single mom relied on programs like SNAP to keep food on the table.

The White House is a 24/7 pay-to-play enterprise.

The latest? Trump is pardoning Changpeng Zhao, who built a company that allowed terrorists and sex predators to launder money.

Why? Because Zhao made a huge investment in Trump's corrupt crypto business.

Pay-to-play.

In the space of 5 days, the President

1) posted a video of himself dumping poop on Americans;
2) acknowledged that he might instruct the Dept of Justice to give him, personally, $230 million;
3) directed the destruction of a big chunk of the White House.

Apparently all fine with Congress.

RFK fired the CDC official (w/decades of experience) leading the measles outbreak response. It's been decades since we've had such a large outbreak. And just to ensure they they can spread the measles outbreak even farther, they also fired the leadership for the center focused on immunization.
