It's official: "Sinners" is the Best Film of 2025 as far as the Boston Society of Film Critics is concerned. "Sentimental Value" and "One Battle After Another" had plenty of votes, but Coogler's Delta masterpiece had plentier. #bsfc @bsfc.bsky.social

Jafar Panahi's It Was Just An Accident probably cost less than the catering budget on bigger films, but outruns them in imagination.
Dynamic yet modest, like a western or film noir. I could imagine James Stewart in the lead. Or John Garfield.
