agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Every now and then, in the middle of awards season, a movie comes along so silly, so lightweight, so ridiculous, that it feels like giving your brain a shower. For me, that movie is NOW YOU THREE ME.

-Cut $1 billion from USDA programs supporting food banks
-Enacted tariffs that have caused food prices to rise
-Made the largest cut to SNAP in history
-Canceled the annual food security survey
Shameful.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 5: Vito Marcantonio
There are many who dismiss our vision for New York as impossible. To them, I say we need look only to our past for proof of how we can shape the future.
Tomorrow is Election Day. And this is the final Until It's Done of our campaign.

Meanwhile, data centers are sucking up communities’ water and electricity.

I reviewed Jan Komasa’s ANNIVERSARY, a thought experiment-as-film about fascism that creeps in, on kitten-heeled feet. Nihilistic and at this point, NOT a cautionary tale. Fascinating character study nevertheless.

Review: A new girlfriend ushers in a change of heart in the darkly political 'Anniversary'
Directed by Poland's Jan Komasa, the movie, a domestic thriller with a larger social dimension, stars Phoebe Dynevor as a sweet-smiling newcomer with some scary ideas.

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same
