The goal of these ICE protests is to slow down the monster and, ultimately, to kill it. There is no negotiation. There are no demands. Cease, or die.
Every extra hour that ICE spends facing off with activists is an hour they can't spend kidnapping other people.

Every extra minute ICE has to spend contingency planning around activists and neighbors, every extra officer ICE has to put on a kidnap squad, is a drain on their efficiency.

Absolute fucking 🔥.

"Over eight hours...people throwing back tear gas...throwing anything that they could to defend themselves...Border Patrol retreated. “And the hundreds of workers in the factories were able to escape. If any community was going to fight back without apology, it was this one."

Removing pepperball residue from clothing and other items. This is based on my (unfortunately extensive) personal experience and experimentiation.

Pepperballs contain powdered PAVA, an oily, synthetic capsaicin analog. The only reliable way to remove it is with a good surfactant soap and water. 1/

MCDC is changing their public entrance from 3rd and madison to the other side of the building on main. the new entrance was set to be open on 2/14 but as of yesterday the ramp is still being constructed so hasn't moved from madison yet. we'll be setting up on main once they start releasing there.

during severe weather it’s essential that we look out for and care for our neighbors, especially our unhoused neighbors. stop to check in w people and see if they need anything. carry things like hand warmers, emergency blankets, cash with you. write down emergency shelters/resources on notecards.

Y'all pick a lane. Then make a little progress in your lane each day.

Every serious, experienced organizer I know is Doing Their Thing. Instead of freaking out about each bit of bad news, we're in our lanes rapidly building dual power infrastructure and networks that don't rely on the goverment.

community support and solidarity is more important than ever, and it can feel overwhelming to know what to do. don’t let it immobilize you. there are essential things each of us can do that can have tangible impacts and are valuable no matter the scope.

The threat of ICE has tons of people on high alert, the result is claims of ICE seen without firm or specific info people can actually use — & sometimes, no ICE at all.

It’s never “ICE spotted in Queens,” but “4 SUVs labeled DHS seen parked on 57th & 59th in Maspeth at 2:34pm.”

Be specific!

Ok so lots of people want to know how to help immigrants right now, which is great! Here is a brief thread about what I learned from @ufw.bsky.social folks while hanging out with them. They also hold training so if they're in your area, look em up and ask if you can attend!

Some things you can do to support someone incarcerated. This info was gathered from attending a Rattling the Cages video conference and is in no way exhaustive. Rattling the Cages is great and we recommend checking them out, as well as seeking out and supporting your local prisoner support projects!

When exchanging your @signal.org contact info over an insecure channel (like a text message or DM), it's a good idea to generate a Signal link (URL) from the app, then you should RESET that link after you connect with the other person on Signal.
