It's estimated that hundreds of thousands of people have *already* died because USAID was shut down. And USAID was shut down not because it was a longstanding GOP wish, or because Trump wanted it done, or because it was in Project 2025. Nope: It was all Elon Musk.

This is actually good spin, or would have been. But the fact that the Democratic cave happened without even a coordinated, agreed-upon message like this indicates the depth of the leadership void.

Trump gives a lecture on achievement. Awards are good if they recognize personal sacrifice -- but true achievement is getting the award without any personal sacrifice.

This is all you need to know about Trump.
Trump: We gave her the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It’s much better than the Congressional Medal of Honor because soldiers get the Congressional. And they’re in very bad shape because they're dead. She gets it and she's a healthy, beautiful woman. And they’re rated equal

The fix is in.

Ghislaine Maxwell, transferred to a club med prison after Trump's lawyer met with her (and she likely spilled what she knows about Trump), is now being waited on "hand and foot" by guards and is getting her commutation application ready with help from the warden.

NC Congressman is afraid of Charlotte, NC.
"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."

Meanwhile, Bessent is quoted saying that Trump's first two quarters in office were economically strong, and the shutdown is going to become a drag on the economy. They need to get their stories straight.
Mike Johnson: "That's the reason the inflation is up, the cost of living is up so high -- because of the policies of the previous administration. Now, we're working to root those policies out and implement our own, but it takes a little time."

There is nothing in Jack Smith's past or present that suggests that he is anything other than a committed prosecutor who is driven by a quest for justice. This guy is insane and Bartiromo is either profoundly ignorant or complicit in advancing this fraud.
Michael Rulli: "Jack Smith, in my opinion, this is treasonous. Let that word sink it. That's what this is. Jack Smith and his little clownies will destroy this republic. They say w/the snake, you cut off the head. If he's leading this, we have to let future people know we're not gonna put up w/this"

good is coming out of this fight at this point beyond pain. The MAGA wing of the GOP is ready to burn the place down. Voters made clear their distaste for the situation but not sure “dig in more” was what they were requesting either.

I don’t buy the argument that Trump comes out of this strong.

“Independence is a concept fundamental to the health of any democracy—and it has been systematically dismantled in Hungary…What’s left is a poor country subsumed with politics, propaganda, and polarization; a state that stomps out independence while feigning conservatism.”

Stefanik donors hope she wins but are also OK with wasting the money and being able to blame the libs.
Stefanik campaign seems like a honey trap for GOP donors, decent early polling but she’s dramatically more tied at the hip to Trump’s most egregious stuff than Jack Ciatterelli ever was and the midterm political headwinds will be blowing straight in her face.
