Probert: What makes Trump such a great President is that HE LOVES AMERICA. During his first four years, he fought every opposition on Earth to bring America's respect level back up to what it always should be; even beyond the Kennedy years,... and certainly WAY above our National embarrassment of Obama's service to his Muslim background and bowing & scraping to all Middle East Countries. Trump has lead an insane fight against child trafficking, sex trafficking, & organ harvesting. He has freed America from the global financial system and put America (and the world) back on the gold standard. He created the Space Force which will insure (through an amazing satellite system) secure voting and secure banking. So,... yeah, I can't wait for his re-emergence,.. hopefully this month or next-

Kenneth Mitchell as Kol aboard the Klingon Ship of the Dead. Mitchell discussed his transformation into Kol through the character's distinct look: "The costume is heavy and it's hot and the prosthetics are heavy and hot, but I've always been an actor that works from the inside out and the outside in. These costumes and prosthetics, when you put them on, they're like layers of your character, and the more you put on the more you start feeling like your character. Then you add in the language, this very visceral and guttural language, and it just lends itself so much to my character, being a kind of aggressive Klingon. I find the language itself is a little bit aggressive and I’ve found when I am speaking it, I kind of start moving my body a bit and using my arms and moving my neck a bit. All these layers added on to helping me create my character."

watched First Contact in 4K last night and I gotta tell ya, I think they fucked the color grading

L: 2009 blu-ray, R: 4K remaster
2009 Blu-Ray version with natural lighting, whites are white, carpet is gray-ish blue. 2023 4K remaster, weird blue tint in the whites, the carpet is verging on fluorescent teal.

Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham as she surveys mangled corpses aboard the USS Glenn. For the scenes set aboard the derelict USS Glenn, the STAR TREK: DISCOVERY make up department produced numerous fake Starfleet and Klingon corpses which had been distorted by an experiment gone wrong. Special Effects Make-Up Artist Paul Jones said, "Spilling blood and showing compound fractures... onboard a Federation starship was a dream come true."

I wouldn’t be surprised that if SNW continues the way it was last season, it’ll just get more people to reevaluate how they felt about Discovery and that they were being too harsh.

USS Discovery flies through an orange cloud with lightning as the camera moves very close to the hull. it's a lot clearer than the busier VFX in season 1, tho I know a lot of people like the more vibrant color palette.
