A worthy cause from my sister's job. If you're able to donate, you'll be helping to give a Merry Christmas to a child who might not otherwise be waking up to anything under the tree.

A provision banning racial profiling of Hispanics by ICE in reaction to yesterday's SCotUs action should immediately be added as a non-negotiable position for any kind of CR.

*Force* the GOP to *demand* racial profiling of Hispanics and make them threaten to shut down the government over it

I pre-ordered @willwiles.bsky.social The Dead Man's Empire. If I hadn't interacted with the author here and then received a reminder here the pre-order was available, I may have simply enjoyed The Last Blade Priest and then left the sequel on my TBR indefinitely.
Is there *any* evidence that presence on bsky contributes in any way to book sales? I’ll take anecdotes! Who here has bought a book bc they heard about it on bsky *alone*? Because I’m ready to bounce.

New Superman is Best Superman. If DC delivers a real cinematic universe like this, I might be into superhero movies again for a while.

Guy on @bloomberg.com just said young people trying to buy their 1st home are shocked to hear a 7% rate and mention it to their parents who in turn scoff that rates were 17% when they bought their 1st home. Really? A lot of "young" people's parents were buying their first homes in the early '80s?
