SUPER COOL thread for Trek nerds. Take care following it since Bsky doesn't thread well. Worth your time.
[Thread] I've realized that a lot of people don't know about a magnificent Enterprise spaceship from Star Trek.

It's normal, we've never seen it navigate through space directly on the screen. But we've seen it on screen. What?

This is the story of the Enterprise XCV 330.

My favorite thing about this miserably petty resolution is they made it a 67 vote threshold to change the dress code after today—more stringent than legislation.

Now she’s running to flip a Dem seat on the state Supreme Court:

Alabama’s AG is trying to restrict people’s rights on multiple fronts currently, defending the state’s refusal to follow the Supreme Court’s voting rights ruling and asking to short-circuit the appeals process to enforce its anti-trans law.

Alabama's leaders continue fighting against voting rights for Black Alabamians and medically necessary care for transgender Alabamians — with Floridians and Georgians affected, too.

May be wrong but I assume that after years of disinformation campaigns poisoning the well against vaccines, it's likely too late for wide enough adoption to achieve what's typically considered "herd immunity." Even more impt, then, that vaccines remain accessible to all those who want and need them.

Done! Thank you for the reminder. Herd immunity won't work if we don't all have access to the vaccine.

Please do this! It’s easy and doesn’t take much time. Please include the docket # in your comment!!
Deadline for public comment ends tomorrow. Please tell the CDC that we need vaccine access for everyone, not just a small sliver of the population.

The pandemic is not over, and public health requirements don't magically disappear simply because it would be politically more expedient.
Tell the CDC all ages need updated vaccine access
