Someone introduce these guys to a comic book so they can figure out that no one cares.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

It’s said that every senator looks in the mirror and sees a president, why shouldn’t they have immunity like a president too?
You need to be sober as you contemplate that Senators gave themselves immunity to all investigations.

Every part of that is true, actually.

Senate Democrats voting to dismantle the ACA to avoid any problems with their Thanksgiving travel is tragically on brand.

As ever, we absolutely must abolish the Senate. It was bad when conceived and has remained so.

This is the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever heard.
"A development that appeared to break the logjam: Republicans proposed that healthcare funding be provided directly to households rather than used to pay for a 1-year extension of ACA subsidies. That involves sending federal money into FSAs instead of insurance companies" www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
Republicans Pitch Alternative to ACA Extension to End Government Shutdown
A proposal by GOP senators to send money directly to consumers’ health accounts rather than to insurance companies showed signs of breaking a stalemate on negotiations.

While you could get away with this in 2017-21, there’s a certain France in 1789 vibe to this decadence now.

They’ve decided that they’re taking anti-corporate tact on killing the ACA? I mean, good fucking luck.
Republicans waged a relentless, decades-long campaign to privatize Medicare and Medicaid
They fought even mild efforts to expand public insurance
Now they are objecting to extending extra ACA subsidies, supposedly because money flows to private insurers
We are supposed to take this seriously?

I know this is typical, but imo this is a huge mistake by Jackson. This is not ordinary procedure.
#BREAKING: Justice Jackson has issued an "administrative" stay, temporarily pausing a district court order that would've required the USDA to continue using contingency funds to pay SNAP benefits.
The stay expires 48 hours after the First Circuit rules on USDA's request for a stay pending appeal.

I keep thinking about how FPS/ICE/etc. are fundamentally cops and therefore are used to being able to lie with impunity. It makes a lot of sense that their stories fall apart under even light scrutiny.
Like much federal law enforcement under Trump's control, the Federal Protective Service has a serious problem with the truth, and keeps submitting false information to the courts. One major whopper clinched the government's (temporary) victory in the Portland case! slate.com/news-and-pol...
The DOJ Lied Its Way to Victory in a Key Trump Case. It Just Got Caught in Court.
The president’s Department of Justice keeps lying brazenly to judges, and more often than not, it refuses to correct the record.
