A thing I want to talk more about but it'll probably attract too much heat (for example accused of invalidating people or equalizing them to trans women) is that "femboys", "sissies", "twinks", just like "faeries", more often than not end up very solidly on what I call "transfeminine spectrum".
Reminder: the United States had a transfeminine third-sex minority of its own only around 100 years ago—called fairies—and much of both modern gay and trans identity in the West has a direct tie back to them.
