If we create a basic income floor below which no one can fall, and set it high enough and alongside other universal needs like healthcare and education, then everyone will be more capable of becoming the best versions of themselves, which in turn means a society that is the best version of itself.

I would love to see a universal basic income. It's only fair: much of today's new wealth relies on the design work and infrastructure building of the past. So part of it should be distributed equally -- just as it would be if we were all part of one big family dividing an inheritance.
