Feels like it was successfully memory-holed that the reason unemployment is as “record low” as it is is because a shit ton of people were kicked off unemployment benefits, and the number they’re talking about is based on how many people are receiving benefits 🧐
I wish there was a way to make people understand and genuinely, truly believe the objective reality that the single best job market in the last half- century for entry- level workers, young people, and bottom- quintile earners is the one we have right now, today.
Opportunity is in shorter supply than it was for us and our parents, the abilities to take advantage of it is not being as effectively taught, and technology is wrecking people.
We need to be focused on making things better for them. But we can't do that pretending they aren't in a world of hurt.

Since COVID itself has enormous vascular and neurological effects, I’ve long wondered whether we’ve all become a little brain damaged from it, with the knock-on behavioral changes. Kinda the way a stroke or heart bypass surgery can leave a patient profoundly changed.

Este año quiero utilizar el trueque lo más posible. Asi que si tienen una alfrombra redonda mediana (para cuarto) o una cuadrada de colores neutros grande para la sala. Tengo esto para cambiar. El bolso es paque...obvio y la bici esta desinflada pero x lo demas en todas!
