Here's some ideas of where you can pitch in. Mutual aid looks like sharing your time, skills, resources, and supplies with your community.

White people, especially, it's time to support immigration advocacy groups.

To mark "Trump will declare a national emergency for mass deportations" day: here is the initial spreadsheet of our crowd-sourced *local* immigration advocacy/support organizations.

Please share widely, put to good use, and keep letting me know about more organizations folks can connect with.

Stop calling them vaccine skeptics. They are child death enthusiasts. They are murderers. Disinformationmongers. Evil.

They aren’t critical. There’s nothing real there. Not even kernels of truth. They grasp at the subjectivity of the human experience and manufacture crises to enable real ones.

If “trying harder” could solve chronic illness, no one would be chronically ill.

Non disabled people have no idea how hard we try. How much effort goes into managing our conditions to avoid deterioration to our baseline.

How hard it is to survive in an ableist society.

I swear to God we need to stop referring to sports trades as "sold to [new team]." The contract was sold. People are not property. It's especially uncalled for when discussing Black American players.

I hear @nwslsoccer.com announcers say this regularly, and it's always bristling.

The court of public opinion insists on "If they're arrested, they did it," rather than "innocent until proven guilty." Criminality happens the moment someone is arrested, and then all the bad things that happen to them are justified because they are criminal.

BTW, this is why we need abolition.
You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

Dear senators who think you can’t do anything,

Today, Senator Van Hollen - through diplomatic pressure - got a meeting with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. So that thing you’re thinking about doing? DO IT.

What Senator Van Hollen did going to El Salvador, making sure Kilmar Abrego Garcia is still alive & advocating for his release is more important for democracy than Senator Cory Booker's floor speech. I liked the speech & I hoped it would come with some action. Van Hollen is actually taking action.

This energy, for EVERY. ONE. OF. THEM.

I'm glad Sen. Van Hollen is going to advocate for this man, and every single person sent to El Salvador needs a champion like this.
Letter from Dem Senator Chris Van Hollen (MD) requesting a meeting with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele
To discuss MD father Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return

"If Kilmar is not home by midweek – I plan to travel to El Salvador this week to check on his condition and discuss his release."

I get frustrated w/ people who dismiss fascists as stupid, simple minded, or unaware. Plenty of people in power know exactly why they're there & are working from a published playbook. Just because you disagree doesn't make them stupid. Dismissing them for low intelligence isn't a smart move either.

Hi, I'm the guy who wrote the book "Administrative Burdens" and it's just objectively untrue that no one will face "unnecessary burdens" b/c
*non-citizens almost never vote!
*About 20M citizens don't have access to citizenship documents

SAVE solves a non-problem by burdening American citizens.
Maine's voting culture is the best in the nation. I am confident that under the SAVE Act, our state can both ensure that only citizens can cast ballots and that no one faces unnecessary barriers to registering to vote.

If they can illegally send anyone to an El Salvador prison illegally and not bring them back, they can illegally send you to an El Salvador prison and not bring you back.

How can anyone defend this?

I’m seeing a lot of posts about how certain immigrants sent to El Salvador are not actually criminals and this is true but I would also like to remind you that people with criminal records shouldn’t be subjected to this, either.

A lot of people may have protested for the first time today. I've heard so many veteran activists share that there's a difference between organizing and mobilizing. Today is mobilizing. It will create 1,000,000+ chances for organizing, which is necessary for the long haul. The difference 🧵

I'll be honest, I'm annoyed that people are upset about HHS cuts, screaming about measles and bird flu, when disabled people have been begging everyone to wear a mask for five years. Yet, some cities/states have banned or are trying to ban masks in public. It's infuriating.
