Don't give no shit, don't take none neither.

Be honest with me and I'll be honest with you.

Do what's best for you, but don't screw anyone over to get what's yours.

Never apologize for doing what's right.

Be true to yourself, and the rest will follow.
Police mistook a realistic-looking BB gun for an actual firearm, got close enough to wrestle this child to the ground, and you're telling me they couldn't safely take the gun without shooting him? Bullshit. The arresting officer would've had 150 pounds on him, easy. These cops are full of shit.

Once again: There is no such thing as apolitical or value-neutral human-made ANYTHING, and ESPECIALLY not technology.

I'm very very tired of saying this & fighting this fight, over & over again, but giving up ground on it is exactly what the Zuckerberg/Musk/Altman/etc techbroopoly want us all to do
Meta's "no politics allowed" stance is 1) itself a political position, and 2) so impossible to enforce that it's instead a perverse guarantee that what political content does surface will be absolutely deranged, in that the algorithms will be unable to identify it as conventionally political

Daughter tells me she heard today that if you wear a band T-shirt (especially as a young woman) and a man says to you “name five of their songs”, the correct response is “name five women who trust you”, so I pass this on in case any of you need it

Biden's challenge in this election cycle is going to be overcoming liberal burnout and frustration over policy failures like Israel. I am concerned for what another Trump presidency will look like if he fails.

Anti-Trump Burnout: The Resistance Says It’s Exhausted
Bracing for yet another election against Donald Trump, America’s liberals are feeling the fatigue. “We’re kind of, like, crises-ed out,” one Democrat said.

How the hell are there people concerned over Biden's age and not Trump's? A year or two doesn't make that big a difference after seventy-five.

Don't misunderstand: I have plenty of friends, and even some older friends. But all the "mentors" etc. that I used to be surrounded by have either disappointed or drifted off. (1/2)
