I wrote this piece back in 2012, showing how the Israeli attack on Osirak in 1981 didn’t end but in fact accelerated Saddam’s covert nuclear weapons programs. It also quotes US generals saying you can’t end Iran’s nuclear program with a bombing campaign.

This week, as the government defends in court its sale of F-35 parts used in Gaza — and as famine threatens a starving population — it blocked my bill to suspend arms sales to Israel.

The reckoning will come. Ministers will be held accountable for their complicity in genocide.

I asked the Prime Minister if he still believes Israel is not committing genocide — but he dodged the question.

This story is major. Here's why it matters: 1) It creates an interesting precedent. Interactions with chatbots are FOIable. 2) It shows how our public officials are relying on these technologies, and that's a public debate that is healthy to engage in. But even more importantly 1/
🚨 @newscientist.com SCOOP: I've exclusively obtained Peter Kyle's interactions with ChatGPT using FOI laws - in what I believe may be a world-first transparency release. The chatbot said "Lack of Government or Institutional Support" slowed UK AI adoption www.newscientist.com/article/2472...
Revealed: How the UK tech secretary uses ChatGPT for policy advice

This is a grave and sobering admission: they are not pursuing the “WELL ACTUALLY he broke the law during protests,” they are bragging that they are deporting people for protected speech.
NEW: White House says the arrest and deportation of student activist & legal US resident, Mahmoud Khalil, is a blueprint for more.

The final line here is chilling. The White House specifically says Khalil was not breaking the law.

No evidence, no due process, no crime. He was just disappeared.

Just to spell this out: you, too, are not breaking the law. Versions of this could happen to any of us.

OPM has stated that a response is not necessary. However, if a response were required, here is their plan: Musk-directed emails to government employees, requesting details on their work over the past week, are expected to be fed into an AI system to assess job necessity.

I honestly cannot fathom how people who scream about a meritocracy night and day would think that a person with no medical training at all, and filled with debunked, crackpot, junk science ideas should be running the HHS.

But at least he's white.
