Hi 👋 I’m Stephanie. I’m fine art and city planning trained by way of Temple University. I am a life long lover of Philadelphia but only a 14 year resident. Currently trying to make the best of things and keep working to better serve my community.
Finally after 2 years of advocating for my community via 311, phone calls to SEPTA, and communication with my council members office the city and SEPTA finally came out and cleaned up this piece of property along the regional rail overpass

The giant screens on market st have been advertising the new Hulu series on the Chiefs for the last week or so and I can’t help but think that this might not be the right market for these ads

I’m for preserving historically significant structures, but we need to be responsible with how we designate and what burdens or barriers those processes place on homeowners. We are still the poorest large city in the country and we need to keep that in mind with all of our policies.

Found out via 311 yesterday that the city is just not collecting recycling so that they can focus on just collecting trash…yet they didn’t think to communicate that with people.

Looks like we finally have a date for the opening of the Amazon fresh at spring garden and 6th. August 14th at 8 am

Finally some signs of progress at 6th and Spring Garden. Looking forward to having a grocery store closer to my house (even if it is Amazon fresh)

I don’t think they have enough no stopping signs on this block…I’m counting almost 20

I just can’t comprehend why folks even want to talk about Biden with what this current admin is doing right now
Every single segment on cable news about Jake Tapper's book talking Biden is one less covering Trump's corruption, his war on our Constitution and his crimes! And that is by design.

This guy is such a slime ball. At minimum these giant ugly billboards should be going in front of the art commission…the city should be fighting against this - we don’t need more ugly visual clutter
Convention Center billboard developer says he doesn’t have to pay $15 million in community benefits
Thaddeus Bartkowski says the billboards he’s building don’t fall under a law that would require compensating neighbors like Reading Terminal Market, the Rail Park, and a condo association.

This opinion piece man, the PA republicans are dead set on destroying Philadelphia.
It’s time to consider privatizing SEPTA | Opinion
The fiscal instability of SEPTA is quickly on the horizon and has left us with a system in crisis and no good way out. The solutions for this cannot come from the same bank of tired ideas.

Your regular reminder that Elon Musk has called us "the parasite class" while he continues to take billions of our taxpayer money. So who is the parasite sucking the life blood out of America?

This will also be going in front of the Civic Design Review Committee May 6th.
CHOP is proposing a 1,000-vehicle parking garage at 30th and Grays Ferry Avenue. This garage would be over 70 feet tall, reserved for employees, and would require a separate shuttle service.

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

Kind of hope that other countries end up boycotting the World Cup and the Olympics. I don’t think it’s safe for anyone to travel to this country when our government is dead set on disregarding due process
For most of my adult life, I've been eagerly awaiting the U.S. return of soccer's World Cup. But under Trump, the very real risk of tourists staying home to avoid airport hassles or even arrest, as well as America's global pariah status, may ruin it

We really need more of a focus on civics and government in our public schools and even undergraduate programs in this country.
Nobody likes waste. But what a lot of people don’t realize is that, in many ways, government is *designed* to be inefficient. It’s structured with redundancy and complexity both for audit and control purposes and because it tries to satisfy multiple competing societal goals. 1/2
btw i dont think anybody is arguing that we should cut waste what is being argued by sane ppl is that what elon trump and the gop are doing isnt that they are cutting things they dont like arbitrarily without any oversight or ya know legally

The video of Trump’s deportees arriving in El Salvador is horrific.

This is 21st century Nazism.

Identities concealed, trafficked to a foreign labour camp. No due process, no evidence of crime. Dehumanised.

Where is the global outrage?

The crime is historic; the normalisation catastrophic.

If you called your senators yesterday and told the “VOTE NO” on the Continuing Resolution *and* Cloture, CALL AGAIN TODAY.

@schumer.senate.gov is full of it and gave us lip service.

CALL YOUR SENATORS AND TELL THEM VOTING NO AND STOPPING THE GOP AND THIS BUDGET IS THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE ACTION.

I guess the golden rule isn’t “treat others the way you want to be treated” anymore?
Dave Brat, a Senior VP at Liberty University, said today on a local news interview that the tariffs are following “reciprocity,” which he said is the Golden Rule: “whatever you do to us, we’re gonna do to you.”
