I remember these! Got to admit that I too took the plunge and got into flash animations. I actually wound up applying to a famous sex toy manufacturer as a flash animator. I didn't get the gig, but it was an experience.
It wasn't deep. It didn't have much to say. But Xiao Xiao inspired millions to try Flash animation for themselves.

I love the flow. How the expressions morph. How the bear seems to be made of water at times. It's beautiful.

I've read about seeing this in books since I absorbed Heinlein's 'Red Planet' in Stetson Junior High School. To finally see this is a feeling I can't put into words.

You can have beautifully stylised game art and not make it at PS1 resolution. All of this is gorgeous. Look at the depth and sheen on the water. Amazing.
