Hey y'all! I am Fairweather, and I make singleplayer levels for Quake, Team Fortress 2 and Doom!

Here's some of my work, I typically focus on encounter design, but here's some pretty visuals to catch your eye. Reposts appreciated.
I know it's too early to wanna do something else, but Remix Jam II should be on the agenda for this year.

everyone's favorite (and mine) The Champion, or Deathknight. she stands at 7 feet tall with a sword as tall as some other units. the voice actor interpreted her as completely feral, so we didn't give her a radio. she just has handlers that point her in a direction to kill.

Man, the warm reception ppl are having to QBJ3 rules. It's such a weight off of the shoulders that it's finally out, and watching people experiencing all of the stupid little touches we put in has been such a rejuvinating factor after the weeks long crunching in the final stretch before release.

The combo of Windows 11 being forcibly installed, and needing a Linux tester on the main QBJ team has practically pushed me into the Linux corner again. Which distro is the one to go with nowadays? Last time I tried in '21 it was Mint, is that still alright?

Quake Brutalist Jam 3 is breathtakingly gorgeous and cleverly constructed. Incredible work by the team and in my opinion - worthy of joining the modding pantheon with Arcane Dimensions

I need some music suggestions for the QBJ3 trailer. This is driving me crazy. Every song I try just isn't it, or it's perfect but the song doesn't edit down to a minute and a half.

This is probably reductionist, but is there any real reason why AAA keeps meat-grindering people to make 7/10s that they put a quadrillion man hours into refining, rather than just taking on a retro visual style and saving everyone the trouble of having to realistically stimulate horse genitalia?

Wall-running has to be one of the biggest design traps in gaming. There's very, very few games where it can be implemented as something fun and engaging to the overall sandbox without it instantly nuking level design into the floor.

Even Respawn refused to put it into Apex, lol.
