Graphic artist specialising in game and space art. Currently trying to learn animation so I can make silly CGI videos.
Tried this with a Zombie I made. I took a screengrab of the critter and brought that into Meshy. From the screengrab, it produced a good mesh with defined hands. It did a good job of the back anatomy. I followed through with the rigging and success!! This is from an image, not a model!

Tried the rigging and animation of an Imperial officer from Star Wars. The rigging was very much like Mixamo, but defined left and right. The finished result wasn't particularly great, but if you started with a more T or A pose character, I imagine you would have a lot more success.

Oh boy. I tried a picture of an imperial officer from Star Wars and got this. The AI knew that it was a human and put his hands behind his back. It's made an attempt to create the hands, which aren't too awful for an approximation.

Oh dear! I thought this was a very unfair test, but it didn't do too bad. I'm impressed it could make some sense of all those pipes!

UV map!

I used a similar one, MeshyAI, and got some decent results.
While interesting, for animation production, it will only serve as a guide for character creation. I'll need to produce a proper optimised mesh that is just the head for addition of hair, retopology, etc, etc...
But it's interesting.

I tried doing a photo of Patrick Troughton (1960's Doctor Who). It came out... basic.

Working on some Zombies for the spooky season (and a friend's Duke mod!).

What movie do you consider "perfect?"

This is how old I am. These were the covers I read when I bought the books in the 1970s.

With only a month to go till the spooky season, time to raise some zombies! There is a trick to getting the bones to pop out in the right places!

This was also the cover of A.E. van Vogt's Voyage of the Space Beagle. I used to own a copy of this.

The Lost Soul from Doom (WIP). The original skull was from an artist called CGPhantom. I've reworked it and given it horns and made a low poly mesh for game.

All the people complaining about Blender today. They need to see what the early 2.X series was like. It was like a space shuttle control panel.

I found this while searching out some stuff for displacement maps. The ship from Destination Moon served as an Easter Egg in 'Space: 1959' and can be seen lurking on the lunar surface as our heroes zoom past. The mountains are a displacement map of noise, amped up to get that 50's Bonestell look.

I've been trying to experiment with a Steam OS machine but my old hardware is failing me. The computer isn't doing too well either. I've managed to narrow the problem down to what looks like dodgy RAM slots. I've got it up and running with two sticks on Bazzite. We'll see how far we can go.

I did this for a pirate EDuke32 mod a few years ago. I dusted off the meshes and chucked them into Marmoset! I've been encouraged to push them further, which I might do one day.
Built in Blender. Some details in ZBrush. Textures in Substance Painter.
