This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

Girl fuck you
America is in the midst of a Republican-made health care crisis—a crisis so severe, so urgent, and so devastating for American families that I cannot support a continuing resolution that fails to address it.

I am voting NO.

Democratic Senators should fight for it like lives depend on it because they do.

Donald Trump claims to be "Pro-Life." Indeed, he was the first sitting president to attend the annual March for Life.

But this didn't stop him from conspiring with Elon Musk to kill 600,000 (so far) people, 2/3 of them children. You see, when Elon says we need more children he means *white* ones.

James Watson has died. The last direct living link to Rosalind Franklin, one of the co-discoverers of the structure of DNA and a brilliant crystallographer whose work was critical to this discovery. Her data was stolen by Watson, who was a racist, misogynist eugenicist.

On TikTok there's a woman doing a fairly clever social experiment. She's calling churches around the US and asking if they can help her get formula for her baby. She tracks on a spreadsheet which ones say yes. It makes me wish we could strip religious tax exemption from orgs that fail their values.

Buried in the Big Beautiful Bill were changes to food assistance that demanded “any future change be cost-neutral. Translation: no more benefit increases, even if food prices skyrocket.”

The result was “institutionalized hunger.”

Divisions come when Dems stop listening to each other & start privileging people who don't have their interests in mind. By that, I mean a press corps that has internalized the idea that Republicans are the only legitimate leaders as well as the idea that Dems must seek their consent to use power.
