LEAVITT: Why aren't you talking about what these members of Congress are doing to encourage and incite violence?
i rest my case
40M/14k = $2900. 40M/1.56M (total workers) = $26
24M/48k = $500. 24M/490k = $49
69M/20k = $3450. 69M/109k = $630
CEOs make too much but they are simply not the reason workers don't make enough or can't be kept on.
UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.
Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.
This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.
Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

PARADOX by John Meaney - Changed my writing style (colons! em-dashes!).
Stephen King's THE MIST - Now I'm afraid of fog.
WATERSHIP DOWN - Books can make me cry?
tell me about a book that changed you
for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

My experience struggling to correct the record — including on Bluesky! — and the warning signs as AI, aggregation, and social media increasingly drive our news consumption.
“I have known him my whole life. But, of course, in the room that day, he was very different, you know? He wasn’t, like, kooky Uncle Quentin — he was in serious mode.”
