It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.

This is what should be on every front page right now. What's happening in the US right now is an illegal power grab by a private citizen. IT'S A COUP.

It's a digital coup. It's Musk who's leading it. The consequences are terrifying. And it's coming for us next.

It should not be radical for the American Bar Association to say that it supports the rule of law. But right now, it is. Let's see some other orgs taking a similar stance.

Trump is making another 911 more likely.

His Gaza scheme is inflaming the Middle East. He’s gutting intelligence agencies, prioritizing loyalty over merit. FBI & CIA comms are in chaos.

Weak intel means they may not see the threats coming. And w/political retribution as the focus—we’re wide open.

Trump and Musk don't want watchdogs like the CFPB protecting the people.

They want big banks and bad actors to run rampant and take people for a ride.

They want to pillage the government and make themselves rich.

But we won't let them.

So if you have a Dem Senator, this is the week to make some noise. Get a group together and get some attention. Make sure your senators get bad local press for voting for nominees and good press for opposing. Use this toolkit if you need a guide: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

@schumer.senate.gov We do not have years to wait to fix this or wait for Trump to continue to fuck up. We have days.

A man that gained power by illegitimate ways will STAY in power by illegitimate ways(FOREVER). Allowing him to fuck up without challenging him is giving him legitimacy every day.
If Mitch McConnell was the Senate minority right now, he would’ve shut this shit down.

Jesus Jumping Christ on a cracker.

Schumer has never understood that you don’t have power unless you use power.
Chuck Schumer’s advice for Democrats staring at a long two or more years out of power: Just wait.

“Trump will screw up,” he tells Semafor in an interview.

The freezing of federal grants, the firing of all inspector generals, the immunization of political violence - does everybody not see what’s happening?

In a blitzkrieg, Trump is trying to collapse our democracy - and probably our economy - and seize control.

Call it what it is.

one of the reasons that such a strong show of support from congressional dems today was important is that fed workers are going to have to start telling musk and his ghouls to get fucked and get the fuck out of the building
The terms, the offer, this is Musk. We're at the point where people need to decide if we want to have a state anymore or simply be the territorial base of SpaceX/Tesla.
Hey it turns out we're getting rid of the CIA.

"The Central Intelligence Agency offered buyouts to its entire workforce Tuesday, in what officials said is a bid to bring the agency in line with President Trump’s priorities, including targeting drug cartels."

A lot of people want to blame Schumer, and I'm not here to defend. He could whip more votes. But Schumer largely reflects what his caucus wants. If you want stronger Dem leadership, one good thing you can do is get your own backbencher Dem on the right side of history.
UPDATE: 8 Dems voted today to confirm yet another Trump nominee during Musk's coup: Bennett (CO), Gallego (AZ), Hassan (NH), Heinrich (NM), Hickenlooper (CO), King (ME), Lujan (NM), Shaheen (NH). If you're a constituent, don't just call - write an op-ed, protest their office, make clear you care.
The Senate takes 3 votes this afternoon:
1) Go into executive session to consider Russell Vought to be OMB Director
2) Cloture vote for Pam Bondi for Attorney General
3) Confirmation of Christopher Wright for Energy Sec

These should be 3 easy NO votes for Dems. Watch yours and provide that input.
