Easily one of the best decisions in my life was to add PV to the house 5 years ago. It is enabling so much. Heating, transport and its cheap which means independence, we don't have to work as much for energy.
Have a look at the roof construction this sits on that agglomerated over the centuries.

This is incorrect. If you include rooftop generation, solar is now the largest source.
