This makes sense to me. I didn't take any sick days when I was WFH during the pandemic, even if I put out my back, because I could still work comfortably at home. Now that we're back in the office, I'm sicker more and illness presents more of a barrier to working.

Seeing my prime minister shake hands with a man behind the murder of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil turns my stomach.

Mark Carney will talk about rule of law and human rights, but at the end of the day, it’s economy, economy, economy, no matter the cost.

This is an argument (flawed and loosely, but still) for harm reduction policies, which Smith's government opposes.
The probability Danielle Smith is hardcore MAGA is a lot closer to 1.0 than a lot of people assume. For all intents and purposes, I treat her as a top Canadian MAGA leader and influencer. Her destructive anti-science views alone go back to Big Tobacco. #cdnpoli

This is precisely why she chose now.
The UCP is facing 8 investigations into corruption, plus no fewer than 3 major public sector union strikes (all of their own making).

The affordability crisis looms, as does a trade war with the US.

Wildfires & measles are raging.

And the premier chose now to clear a path for a separation vote.

Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump has brought me to my breaking point with US tech.

I’m going to keep pushing for governments to get serious about digital sovereignty, but in the meantime I’m looking for non-US alternatives — and will have more on what I’ll be using instead soon.
Why I’m getting off US tech

Very typical #privacybreach story - manager freaks out, ends up committing a second breach against their employee. There will likely be union grievance. Good lesson is that when things are amped up, you need to pause before acting. A small, low-risk incident became worse because of this response.
