Looking for reasons to be proud of Alberta? A recent leger poll found 34% of Albertans feel you're never too old to trick or treat. The highest rate in the county. Also below average belief in vampires and werewolves. So there's that.

amnesty.ca/press-releas.... Did the UCP think they'd get good press by violating human rights and attacking democracy to avoid negotiating with teachers?
Amnesty International Canada condemns Alberta government’s use of notwithstanding clause in Bill 2

🚨 This is inexplicable news to share. If in Alberta and you want flu and covid shots for NEXT year (2026-2027), you have only until December 15 of THIS year to order them.

This is not incompetence. It’s a deliberate choice to prevent as many people ..

Also UCP - The earliest we can do is the 14th!

But at least it looks like bargaining in the teachers strike will restart next week!

Our government would rather spend 15 million dollars a day in the hopes that parents will turn against teachers than work towards smaller class sizes and competitive teacher salaries in Alberta. Not including all the anti-union ads they have been paying for with public money. Beyond shameful.

It is frustrating and shows exactly what customer service means to the big telecoms that they will only offer better deals to existing clients after closing their accounts. Until then yearly increases are "necessary."
September 4, 2025 at 7:01 PM
If you have to actually cancel your service before you're offered a better deal, that's not customer service, it's exploitation.

There’s no better time than the present to rein in social media platforms and the harmful consequences they have for society. People should have forums to communicate, but the design of corporate social media promotes the kind of world we don’t want.

It's rarely satisfying to write to your MP. I suppose this is at least proof that a person in the MP's office is reading at least some of what I write, and it's not just input into a machine. Or I'm on some kind of list.
