We cannot harm those deemed “undeserving” without also harming many who are supposedly “deserving.” These false dichotomies serve only the most wealthy/elite. MLK was on point when he said that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” We ignore that wisdom to our own peril.
My daughter’s speech therapist went out of business because Medicaid reimbursement rates were too low. We do not have Medicaid. I’m going to keep posting this until people understand that when Medicaid gets cut *everyone* loses services.

You should all be checking out (ha) the LIBBY app.
It's a free app that allows you to get a library card through the app, check out and hold books, and even read them right on your phone. It's really helped with my doomscrolling at night-- my library even has manga! 📚

Reminder to check your public library to borrow stuff for free like video games, books/ebooks, movies (including digital/streaming), and possibly even free museum passes and other goodies

My colleagues at Zenimax QA have voted to authorize a strike. No date on if/when it'll happen.
Good for them! They have the full support of everyone at Zenimax. As the first team to unionize they paved the way for the rest of us and we support them 1,000%

In animation we hear "We want the next Bluey". The cost of doing business used to be making a hundred shows to get a Spongebob. All the other shows? A lot will still make money, and the talent who worked on them could give you the next Bluey.
This makes me so angry - because this translates to "I too would like to make a lot of money"
But let's be real. You would not have published Balatro.
You want a lightning strike- fund 20 games. Fund 30 games. Fund so many damn games that maybe you find the right field to be struck by lightning.

Publisher bizdev people at events like GDC and Dice trying to sign "the next balatro" should realize that, statistically, the developer of "the next Balatro" you need to be talking to isn't at GDC or Dice talking to bizdev guys seeking 2m+ in funding
