I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Alaa. Alaa is 22 and a medical student. Her family of 13 are displaced into tents, including her two year old sister Maka. Alaa is trying to ensure they have a warm tent for the winter, healthy food for Maka and to continue her studies.

I'm pretty sure that in late 2023 people were asking bluesky to allow Palestinians to verify their identities and make some very reasonable accommodations for people trying to survive a genocide. That's still not allowed 2 years later. They're quite happy cutting off lifelines to starving people.

I finally tortured myself by looking into the 'controversy' over Mamdani and it's even stupider than I thought: his "aunt" isn't just a female family friend of an older generation, it's his father's cousin.
