So I knooow pinterest is a lost cause, but I just learned that it's now possible to uncheck the generated slop in your settings there. And you might even start getting some good old real things after doing so. It doesn't clean it all completely though.
It's in account >settings>scroll to the very right until you reach gen interests>uncheck all of them, and refresh
