Finland has a goal to be net zero GHG emissions by 2035.

Emissions were declining, the LULUCF removals were strong, the plan was looking good, but then LULUCF collapsed.

Net GHG emissions have actually risen over the last decade!

Yes, having a single number in the SPM might be satisfying, but climate mitigation is about trade-offs.

We have to move away from the summary statistics and find better ways to describe and quantify the trade offs.

Population growth or decline will have little impact on climate change
It'll be too slow and too late for the timeframes that we need to decarbonise.

Just your regular reminder of where global CO2 emissions are tracking compared to scenarios that keep warming to below 1.5C in 2100, with "no or low overshoot" (maximum temperature around 1.6C).

Recent results from major international tests show that the average person’s capacity to process information, use reasoning and solve novel problems has been falling since around the mid 2010s

Yo prefiero "investigación y desarrollo" a "innovación, investigación y desarrollo".
If it turns out LLMs are only capable of recombinatory innovation (finding novel connections among existing knowledge), that would still be very useful. Most innovation is recombination and one of the big issues in science is that fields are too vast for scientists to bridge them to find connections
