Nothing new, same old me. I love books, dogs and the occasional cat. I workout and try to earn respect as a numbers cruncher. From Medford, living in Maine.

Over 45? 5 points

Over 50? 8 points

You can measure a society’s political freedom by how openly comedians are able to mock or satirize the government. CBS’s decision to silence Stephen Colbert, announcing the impending end of The Late Show, is another incipient sign of trouble in the United States.

This graphic novel is for 8-12 year olds but I would even recommend it for an adult who only had surface knowledge of Parks and Colvin. The book takes great care not to sugar-coat the fullness of their stories

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

This is getting fewer headlines than it should. After coming to power promising to help working people, the president is revealing his real priorities by actively making it easier for banks to rip people off.

Golden sells us out again. #Maine voters don’t forget shit like this.
The four house democrats who voted for the SAVE Act: Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.), Henry Cuellar (Texas) and Ed Case (Hawaii).

I wonder if Glusenkamp Perez knows this bill would probably strip her right to vote since “Glusenkamp” isn’t on her birth certificate.

A legendary reunion for a Boston icon.

As the @redsox.com celebrate the 50th anniversary of their pennant-winning 1975 team, the bat Carlton Fisk used to hit his famous World Series home run made the trip from Cooperstown to Fenway Park.
