Ah yes, FG “too woke” for voters so they voted in droves for Catherine Connolly instead.
Fionnán Sheahan has suggested that a possible reason HH did so badly is because FG have gone 'too woke'

Aside from the full body cringe of heading a grown man use that word in earnest, it is comforting that Fionnán remains wrong about absolutely everything.

Of course this is his takeaway and not the overwhelming support for Connolly and the issues she espoused during the campaign.

Gov TDs on the radio spouting 'the ppl have spoken' platitudes also scary - they really don't get it.

Next election in Ireland will be a total sh*show. Some areas will be no-go for canvassers and ppl will get hurt.
