Ahhh Black Friday. I've worked in retail for several years and have hated Black Friday / Boxing Day every damn year. Thank God I'm not customer facing today. I don't think I'd be able to control my face anymore.

Today felt like a "cry during your morning commute to work while actively hurting yourself by listening to Sleep Token louder that your car speakers ever need to be playing on a Sunday morning" kinda day.

The last time a coworker said that to me, I asked him to tell me more about “the bad ones.” He didn’t wanna answer THAT 🤣
I once had a coworker at Archie tell me I was “one of the good ones” and it was one of those things where I think I was legit in shell shock at the audacity of the comment in general because of how casually/jocularly it was said.

I have never been more miserable than when I was trying to be the bigger person. The best case scenario there is that the bigot sees you as 'one of the good ones', a phrase corrosive to my soul.

I don’t benefit from the dental program or $10/day daycare
I don’t need the Canada Child Benefit & I already have coverage for diabetes medicine should I need it
