Exactly. The government is pretty much shutting down all social services. The Democratic Party needs to get out there and become a mutual aid group and actually SERVE people, no matter what.
People who complain about the Dems being out of power are as stuck in the box as they are. Stop doing traditional bullshit in non-traditional times. Elections will be the way to regain power but you can regain faith and goodwill outside of the House floor and social media.

I've said before that when I came over to Bluesky from Twitter I made the conscious decision to try to be kinder in how I dealt with people. It's been work but on the other hand I like the online version of myself here better. It did me good to be less snarky/snippy to others right out of the gate.
I've been on the defensive for so long, it's tough learning to be nice again. But I'm making my best try.
