Currently learning about suicide risk assessment and safety planning in primary care! Super exciting to hear that this intervention was found to be successful and particularly excited that means safety methods (eg locks) were provided as part of safety planning!

A new study shows how firearm suicides among women 65+ are rising, reversing decades of decline, while firearm suicides among older men remain high but stable. As these numbers grow, timely mental health support and conversations about firearm access are critical.

A practice I generally follow but want to make sure I bring into the next academic year: Every day, do one thing to better myself/my life (e.g., go for a run, do SOME writing), and one thing to better the life of someone else (e.g., compliment an outfit, make dinner for a friend who is struggling).

I just submitted my first first-author manuscript of my PhD with my PhD advisor 🥹🥹🥹 this project used EMA data I helped collect in sexual minority college students - the first of hopefully many projects in this area to come!! ♥️
