so many life events planned this year (if one can phrase it like that), i already feel the need to lie down. incomplete list: finish my first big grant project with 2 phd and 2 md students, finish my training therapy and own training cases, hand in my habilitation, and, oh, also get married.

new fav idiom: when an austrian wants to express they are not dumb/naïve, they say “ich bin ja nicht auf der nudelsuppn dahergschwommen” (= i didn’t come floating in on noodle soup). yesterday i heard s.o. use that expression in earnest for the 1st time and they didn’t understand my absolute joy. 🍲

my mentor just came in and asked whether i always need so many different drinks to feel less lonely when i am giving a full-day online-only loneliness workshop 😅 but i really enjoyed it (and i hope the participants did as well). now happy and tired off into the weekend!

delighted to see this published 🙌 using EMA, we (with @roryoc.bsky.social) investigated suicidal ideation in daily life. we found that it arises from an interaction of within-person increases in loneliness and an individual’s level of personality functioning psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/202...
