The economist behind The Ministry for the Future’s “carbon coin” just released the real policy.
It’s called the Global Carbon Reward — a way to pay for verified climate repair instead of just taxing harm.

Senator Susan Collins killed the amendment to protect the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) -- perhaps the world's premier research center for work on #weather, #climate, models, and remote sensing. Remember that.

What does Secretary Rollins think American families should eat for dinner?

"...a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla, and one other thing."

My family ate like this in Soviet Ukraine. This isn't the American way.
Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

Wildcats are so elusive, they were thought to be extinct in parts of Europe. But they are making a comeback in some areas.

Climate policy talks a lot about pricing emissions.
The Global Carbon Reward (I'm a volunteer - AMA) flips the script:

price climate repair - in addition
(caution, climate finance wonkery ahead)

It rewards verified carbon removal, reductions, and avoidance as a public-good service—not offsets.

I don’t know too many people who dream about the future anymore.

When I was a kid, we all did. We talked about the year 2000. Sometimes with dread. But mostly with anticipation and excitement.

We saw a bright future — at least as a possibility — out there on the horizon.

We do not "catch up" on measles infections. Stop it with this immunity debt nonsense.
Frankly one of the dumbest pieces of effectively pro-infection propaganda I’ve ever read. This infectious disease doctor thinks lockdown-induced immunity debt may have caused the Ontario measles outbreak even though this same Toronto Star article points out 96% of cases are along the unvaccinated.

Confirmation of major Trump nominees has tended to be followed by radical moves in the related subject area, such as the pivot to Russia now that a foreign policy team is in place. I wonder what's coming after the Senate confirms Kash Patel?
