I’ll be 100% honest the reason I don’t use this platform more is because there’s no option for my account to be private.

Friendly reminder to support your local independent bookstore this weekend!

A slightly less friendly reminder to just not buy books from Am*zon at all.

I haven't been on here in a while mainly because I can't have my account be private.

15+ years old, but still VERY relevent — and if we had acted 15 years ago, the “better world” we’d be creating would be a LOT better & easier to reach. There are real consequences we’re just starting to see to not heeding this cartoon a lot sooner. Even worse if we don’t heed it now. #ClimateCrisis

Did u know? 87% of homes in the UK have gardens. Even more, if you include balconies, window boxes & shared spaces. Just imagine what the country would be like if all of these outside spaces were managed with wildlife care at their core...We can all make a difference... 🌍🌿🌱🐝🪲🕷️🐛🐞🪰🐦‍⬛

I'm really pleased that the ripples receeded just enough for the mountain's reflection to appear.
A fleeting moment as it disappeared within seconds.
Right place at the right time.

Getting the PBS Passport app is the way to go! And a more direct way to support your local PBS station. Plus, it's only $5/month and you get access to all your local and favorite PBS shows.
PLEASE do not fall for the PBS free on Amazon horse shit. Another smooth move by Bezos to control more of the media and information. Get it with rabbit ears or some other streamer or whatever. PLEASE. #brucecoffman loves you! But not Jeff Bezos.

A while back I asked folks why they’re joining Bluesky and the most common response I saw was, “I just want a good place to get my news” and, yall, no. Bad.

Spend most of today and yesterday outdoors.

I think a lot of people would care more about our planet if they took the time to actually experience the joy and beauty each season brings.

All women in the United States need to start learning some martial art, particularly Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and/or kickboxing.

I'm not saying they will 100% protect you, but they do help, and you'll start to notice you'll carry yourself with more confidence, which helps keep predators at bay.

Yup, exactly. The "so much for climate change" crowd make me laugh. This event is a direct result of a warming Arctic.

Will try to use this app more. Threads has consumed me and I know it's because the algorithm does a great job at pulling me in with headlines and hot takes that either make my blood boil or stir up intense emotions.

To the #renewannewithane crowd, I used to be the angry cinnamon square that would post Valentine's Day cards, but I'm just here now as myself (with the same profile pic).

Left Twitter 1.5 years ago and couldn't be happier with that decision. Still, I'm enjoying what I see so far on this platform.
