There has never been a clearer example of the fact that we do not have a legislature in the United States right now. Trump tells them to vote no, so they all vote no. Then Trump changes his mind and they all change their votes. That is autocracy. Vote them out!

I dreamt that I was going to a concert, walked in the Linc and nobody was there except Pierre Robert who also was at the wrong location (on brand) and we both left and out the tunnel instantly were in the pit for Aerosmith with Joe Perry shredding. Honestly a top 10 concert I've ever been to 😢😭

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 85th day out of the last 97.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Donald Trump promised ‘total respect’ for the White House.

Then he turned the Rose Garden into something that looks like the outdoor seating area for a place you have chicken tenders and fries.

Total respect indeed.

If the current administration ever ends, many people in (and around) it will need to be prosecuted. From influence peddling to flat-out murder, their crimes seem to accumulate each and every day.

This is how Trump does everything. Reporting from reliable sources says he’s going to do something outrageous/ridiculous. He immediately claims it’s fake news. Then a few days or weeks later he does exactly what was originally reported.

Your regular reminder that we desperately need to overturn Citizens United and get big money out of politics.

It is among the worst Supreme Court decisions in history.

It corrupts our political system every day.

You know, I would never in a thousand years have expected "Ronald Reagan was in favor of free trade" to be a controversial statement with the Republican faithful, but here we go.
Trump is pissed about an ad that Canada recently ran in the U.S. showing Ronald Reagan talking about tariffs in 1987.

“Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.”

will there be any followup to this fascinating story by the president of the united states that a friend of his sent him a check for $130 million dollars and the president is going to give the money to the military because i for one am fascinated about the details tbh
Trump: "By the way, a friend of mine called us the other day and he said 'I'd like to contribute any shortfall you have because of the Democrat shutdown. I'd like to contribute any shortfall you have with the military.' Today, he sent us a check for $130 million. It's gonna go the military."
