Come onnnnn, Iran!!! Lfg!
If the Iranian regime falls, Russia is in real trouble. No Shahed drones, no cheap terror from the sky - and Putin’s war machine starts to collapse. Is it your New Year’s wish too? 🥂

Every time someone writes "how is it like" I put them forever into my Colossal Dumbass File (unless English isn't their first language, obviously.) Really ready for this trend to be over.

If someone has been telling Trump he needs to chow down aspirin to thin his blood, he’s been having strokes. I think it’s time to start the betting pool on when exactly he goes. Won’t be long.
Donald Trump: “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood,” Trump said. “I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart.”
Oh my goodness, this Wall Street Journal piece about Trump's ailing health that includes an interview with him (gift link). There are a number of ridiculous details in it and I'll put a few of them in this thread. (1/6)

Some health experts are saying that *it* could happen in the March to May timeframe. I hope it's the Ides of March, so I can say "Et tu, Tupée."

I’ll never ever believe that Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris lost their elections and Jack Smith’s damning testimony only helps to cement that for me.

In 2026 I want all of the decent people to remember one thing.

You aren’t meant to be this disciplined, this self-sacrificing to survive. The environment is supposed to support good living. We can have that. You are not a failure. That is politics.

That is all.

I would be sworn in on Jung’s Liber Novus
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

This is the America liberals want 💗💗💗
“Can’t believe NYC elected a Muslim as mayor.”

In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.

Today I learned that "corn sweat" is a real thing, and a major contributor to summertime humidity in the midwest.

THIS STUFF says infinitely more about the thoughts and inclinations of the electorate than all the bot-driven pro-MAGA stuff on social media.
DEMS WIN BIG IN IOWA: Democrat Renee Hardman wins IA State Senate SD-16 with 71.5%, a 27-point Dem overperformance from 2024. Harris won the district by 16. Hardman's victory blocks a GOP supermajority and makes history as the first Black woman elected to the Iowa Senate.

The Kennedy Center isn't the only performance venue in DC, and I doubt a district that votes 96% blue is going to stop going to the theater.
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

I tried out a new recipe tonight. Sounded good in description & theory. Smells good in the oven right now. One of the most poorly written recipes I've ever seen, though. Several steps were definitely missing and a few items missing from the ingredients list.
