I remember someone getting mad at me a couple of years ago for saying that America should start issuing age limits for its politicians.

Is it a bad sign when, as a hospice nurse, you find yourself increasingly feeling envy for your patients? They just get to bounce while I have to pay a mortgage and feed my kids in an authoritarian hell state?

Will this turn out to be "left" or "right" wing in motivation? It's still too early to say! But this is clear evidence of the time we've stepped into as a country. Domestic terrorism is going to look more like this going forward than the attacks of yesteryear.

If you don’t, the base becomes even more jaded. It feels betrayed by leadership. By the party. And becomes more resigned to the likelihood of MAGA entrenching its authoritarianism. They will see that Dems aren’t really an opposition party.
