A New Orleans shot from a visit years ago. I'm not sure how that @thewaroncars.bsky.social sticker got there.
My citizen petition asks for hi-vis crosswalks citywide. But @cityofphoenixaz.bsky.social claims they don't have the budget. They actually do - T2050 funding - an annual multi million $$ budget dedicated to transportation & pedestrian safety.

How about no highway style streets in urban cores?!

NASA does a disservice here by excluding the acres and acres of non-road pavement that truly exacerbate this problem — surface parking lots. Zoom into the hottest parts of this map and you’ll see plenty of parking.

We’re probably not gonna get rid of roads, but we can stop mandating parking lots.

MUST READ: Exclusionary zoning practices continue to keep Phoenix racially segregated. This is a CHOICE made by policymakers.

“The question is: Will we allow history to keep repeating itself, or will we demand justice for the communities that continue to pay the price for Phoenix’s progress?”
