Omg I’m dying 😂😂😂…so…So Emily Austin, a right wing 'influencer' who works for Bibi and the GOP, launched 'Hot Girls for Cuomo'.

Guess who didn't bother to register the URL when she did that? What do you think Hot Girls for Cuomo dot com leads to now?... 😄 Enjoy.

So many women have been talking, writing and warning people of the dangerous ideologies and biases of tech in Silicon Valley, for decades, and it’s so infuriating that so many men (not OP here) just flat out ignore it and act surprised at the technofascists infecting it now
1/ A longtime Wired editor just wrote a mush-brained essay about how he totally missed the political rot of Silicon Valley (& still doesn't get it).

But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that

Lonnie G. Bunch III is the head of the Smithsonian. The first Black person to helm the institution and the founding director of the Blacksonian.

And his legacy will be completely overshadowed by his compliance with this authoritarian bullshit which should go against his ethical code as a curator.
Save hard copies of books. What LLMs don't erase from the internet, fascists will erase from public life. Nothing digital or temporary (like a museum exhibit) is safe. Keep hard copies of history. Slavery. The Holocaust. Civil rights. Everything.
Smithsonian removes Trump from impeachment exhibit in American history museum
A temporary placard, on display since 2021, described the president's historic impeachments. Officials said the exhibit was restored to an earlier version following a review of legacy content.

I’m still sorta surprised at how thoroughly Target misunderstood its customer—or, at least, one of its most important customers. Relatively well-off, college-educated suburban women do a disproportionately massive amount of consumer spending, loved Target, and are statistically not Trump voters
It’s pretty remarkable just how thoroughly Target got its shit wrecked for the anti-DEI stuff

And so why do the articles about Japan's falling birth rate never mention this stigma around pain mgmt for childbirth? 🤔
Though more women in Japan are opting for epidurals, they are mostly still only available around major cities, while prohibitive costs and fears about safety persist.
Cases of epidural use in labor rise in Japan alongside concerns
More demand for epidurals may place a strain on the nation's anesthesiologists, who are already facing staffing shortages.

I went to the Tate Modern yesterday. In the Rothko room with all the Serious Art Connoisseurs there was a ~5 year old kid who walked up to each painting, pointed at it and shouted 'RECTANGLE' at each one in turn, then left the room.
