So, I've basically watched all the mainline Japanese #Godzilla movies - all 30 of them. So here's my overall ranking of them all. (Alt text for all the names and scores).

Solution: Just complete ignore it and do a new Bond movie.
You'd probably put in a bit where Bond has to decide between going to two different locations, one of which being the Kuril Islands and he'd say "No, not that place. I had a bad time last time I was there" and then he just goes elsewhere.

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:
“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

People rag on Reddit for it being full of weirdos, but sometimes that's the only place where people ask the big questions.

I borrowed Indiana Jones and the Great Circle off a mate a few months back but couldn't get into it, but I spent a few hours with it at the weekend and it has clicked with me, now I'm really enjoying it. Great vocal mimicry of Ford and I'm digging the story. Feels like a proper Indiana Jones plot.

Saw PREDATOR BADLANDS yesterday. A movie that's difficult to review purely on its own merits and not against all the expectations you have of it. Because it's The Predator.
It's a weird Violent-Disney-Movie. If you like violent Predator Action and shallow Disney storytelling then it's for you.

A ★★★ review of Predator: Badlands (2025)
I'm torn on this thing. On the one hand, there's quite a lot of good fun to be had here. Some great action scenes, impressive effects (mostly), and a gleefully evil planet where everything you see and...

Plenty of 2025 films I'm still yet to catch before the year comes to an end, so of course I'm using this Friday night to watch a 1976 Italian Poliziotteschi from Umberto Lenzi. Because I've not seen this one yet and I hear it's a blast.

Considering the best Gremlins movie was the one that wasn't written by Chris Columbus, and that Chris Colombus does not have Joe Dante director energy, I can say that this Gremlins 3 news is going straight onto my 'meh so what' news pile.

This morning I discovered that the clock on the dashboard of my car shows the correct time, but the clock *on that same dashboard* when it switches to the reversing camera view is 1 hr ahead. Which caused me a mini panic thinking I was an hour late.

I've been catching the odd episode of old Quantum Leap on PlutoTV, and it's an illustration of just how TV has changed in just a few decades.
I mean, this show has whole new sets for every single episode! When do you get that these days? Nobody 'wastes' money like that today.

Absolute masterpiece in the long history of ludicrous British burocracy, NIMBYism and just general expensive pointlessness.
A stupid idea that everyone involves knows is stupid, nobody wants, but still have to go through with it anyway.
This is the Britain that I love.

My latest: Move over bat tunnel, here’s the wild story of how HS2 were forced to build a multi-million pound bridge for a road that… doesn’t actually exist.
How HS2 built a bridge to nowhere
A state-of-the-art road bridge has been built deep in the heart of rural Buckinghamshire. Designed to carry traffic over the HS2 railway, there's just one tiny problem - there's no actual road.

I seem to have ended up in a database that makes all the ticketing services think I must be totally desperate to get tickets to BON JOVI's Wembley Stadium gigs.
'MISSED OUT DONT WORRY THEY ADDED A THIRD GIG! GET TICKETS NOW!!!'
I mean, they're OK. But come on.
They should've been called SAMBORA.

Right, let's check out another 2025 TUBI ORIGINAL. Surprisingly, I find that these things are actually pretty good fun, if you go in with certain expectations. (Namely, that is a TUBI Original). But I've actually heard some decent things about this.

This was a wonderful movie. Really made me want to get myself pregnant as it looks like a great fun, chill time.
Honoured to have contributed a video essay ("Internal Anguish and Images of Womanhood") to this Limited Edition Blu-ray of Michelle Garza Cervera's HUESERA: THE BONE WOMAN (2022), coming 26 Jan 2026, via @arrowvideo.bsky.social. Kat Ellinger and @kathughes.bsky.social are on it too!

REDSEC Gauntlet has the potential to be a pretty fun squad-based battle royale, if players actually realise it's a SQUAD based MISSION objective game, not a free-for-all death match.
So many idiots joining and just going it alone. What do that think this game is? They just get illuminated Round 1.

I avoid trailers, so I probably won't be checking out the SCREAM 7 one, but I imagine it won't break the main rule of Scream movies:
The only good SCREAM movies are the ones where there hasn't been a SCREAM movie in the previous 10 years.

I'm not sure why I keep finding myself playing EA SKATE, considering the open-world is badly designed, the missions are both boring AND annoying, the voice-over chat is embarrassingly cringe and the game even has stupid lore that annoys me.
I guess the skate physics are fun. But damn, what a waste.

5 episodes into the Ed Gein 'Monster' series on Netflix, and good grief, it's quite something.
Kind of amazed something like this is on mainstream Netflix, tbh. And that it has such big names in it.
Because fuck me, I've seen some disturbing movies / TV in my time, and this is quite up there. Damn.

In Kaiser Chief's 'Oh My God' he sings "...Come back stronger than a powered-up Pacman" but Pacman doesn't get powered up, the pills he eat just power-down the ghosts. Pacman still goes about his business with exactly the same speed and strength all the time.
Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On" really fucks me off. "Summer came like cinnamon, so sweet" In what world is cinnamon sweet?

I genuinely think the only reason Gen-AI hasn't fully taken over movie poster design yet is down to all the legal contractual 'this credit needs to be central, this credit needs to be above the others, name needs to be 25% the size of the title, face needs to be central...' stuff, and AI can't cope.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, and I’m rooting for Wright, but…
This film has the worst g-damn posters.
