So, I've basically watched all the mainline Japanese #Godzilla movies - all 30 of them. So here's my overall ranking of them all. (Alt text for all the names and scores).

Checking out KILL ME AGAIN, because;

a) I hear it's fun,
b) I'm trying to get through any 2025 films before the end of the year, and
c) it's directed by Keith Jardine, who was fun when he was a UFC fighter and had the nickname 'The Dean of Mean'. Which surely translates to a great film director.

It's not Boxing Day without watching Worlds Strongest Man.

And I'll never not be amused by just how much bigger these dudes are compared to regular folks. I mean, look at the state of this!

Introducing daughter to a Christmas classic. KRAMPUS.

I think it's probably ok for an 11 year old. Kinda like Gremlins, I guess. Let's see if I accidently traumatise her though.

Merry Boxing Day folks.

Had a bit of Port left* so I've made myself a glass of Port & Lemonade, a classic Christmas drink.

JAWS was on BBC this evening, but it's not very Christmassy so I didn't watch it.

But you know what (probably) is Christmassy? SANTA JAWS. So I'm watching that.

My sister's indestructible dog survives another Xmas!

A few years ago he went to the vet for eating a plate of rat poison.

Another Xmas he ate a load of mince pies (with raisins) including another vet trip.

This year he ate the Quality Street hidden on, and by the tree for the kids. Wrappers too.

Ok, one last Christmas one before bed. Hopefully Santa doesn't interrupt me as it's just turned midnight here. I'm not sure what time he arrives.

I've not seen this one before. P2

Ok, I've done SANTAS SLAY, and MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL so it's time to get serious. Let's welcome in Christmas with THE DAY OF THE BEAST.

Spouse: Good day at work?

Chaser: Yes, I stopped the celebrity contestants from winning enough money for their chosen charity to buy a dialysis machine.

Well, I think it's ok to pour myself a drink and start the Christmas cheer. By sitting on the sofa with the cat and a Rum & Ginger Ale, and checking out SANTAS SLAY.

I guess going and finding Jesus didn't help him, so he's going to have to try a different religion this time. Maybe stack up a few at the same time. That'll surely work.

Time to tick off another 2025 film before the year comes to a close. The probably not very Christmassy BRING HER BACK.

I'm gonna become a chef and call myself a 'Calorie Distributor'.
There's an extremely easy way to tell if you're old or not. Just see if your toes curl and teeth grind if someone describes themselves as a "content creator".

Watching the supposedly shitty RED ONE, mostly because there's not that many Christmas films on streaming that I either haven't seen, or want to see.

It can't be that bad, surely?

Visiting the in-laws for Christmas #1 and we were chatting about people's best Christmas.

Brother in law's was the time he was quarantined at home with COVID while his wife went kids went to their Nan's. He stayed home alone with just steak, wine, chocolate and Die Hard for company.

England putting up a bit of a fight in #Ashes So now I get the fun of going to bed with a little bit of hope, but expecting to wake up to find Australia are 200-2 or something and it's basically all over.

Digging this old-school style poster for upcoming movie THE PLAGUE.

I hear the film is pretty great too. Wonder if I'll get to see it this year?
December 18, 2025 at 1:53 PM
I find it all a bit... tacky.?
I dunno, when a big name passes away, publications are all 'Right, lets see what {famous person they worked with} has to say' ... and there seems to be a scramble for those people they worked with to have have to get out a statement.

Amazing. I like that they still gave the recipe a 3/5 rating even though they basically made some glue.

And I think I've found a new Subreddit I can waste a bunch of hours reading.

I think my childhood version was the boring 'losing a wheel on the motorway' but I honestly can't remember.

I would have thought a variant with losing your 'willy' or 'knickers' would've been more common though, as we're talking about 10yo kids.

Side note: I reckon Batman probably smells nice.

I'm not really sure what genre this is. Jazz Rock or something, but it's ace. If they do a gig here in the UK in future then I'd love to see what they're like live.

Been to see CLUTCH. I think it's nearly 15 years since I saw them last, but can confirm they're still great.

I think they're a band that all other bands aspire to. Just the same members for the last 35 years, still selling out cool venues worldwide, still making music. What more could a band want?

Some of the streets near me have had St George / Union Flags hanging on lampposts for a while. They get magically replaced when taken down.
But today I noticed the little shopping area where the chippy & bars are now have lamppost flags too - Pride/Progress flags. Taiwan. Uganda. Ukraine flags.

Rob Reiner probably made one of your favourite movies of all time. 😟

Not gonna lie, but sometimes after a long day I'll be walking along trying to get my butt-cheeks to scratch against eachother in a way that's not physically possible, and if I had the option of a nobbly glove like this at those times I'd pay like a thousand quid for one.
