As a volunteer at a wildlife rescue that specializes in birds, this outright lie is infuriating. Bird flu threatened to wipe out the California condor just as the species was coming back from near extinction. ARGH!
RFK Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services, told Sean Hannity that bird flu "doesn't appear to hurt wild birds." That is false. The avian flu can kill wild birds. I've included local news segments about the mass death of wild birds from avian flu dating back to 2022.

Great summary thread. Basically what I expected from Gallego.
🧵 Summary of Ruben Gallego's tele-town hall, which lasted less than an hour since it started late. Lots of concerns from constituents about Elon Musk and DOGE cuts. Gallego also said he'll be holding IRL town halls throughout March.
